China's folk have always had the craft of pickled and boiled eggs, and the traditional foods such as salted duck eggs, pine eggs, tea eggs and brined eggs made with these crafts are delicious. Of course, the salted duck eggs such as pickled food is very harmful to eat too much, because of its high nitrite content, easy to cause cancer. The pine egg should also be careful not to eat lead, lead pine eggs easily lead to excessive blood lead, can also endanger human health.
In addition to these methods to make delicious egg products, our ancestors also invented in practice a safer and easily accepted by patients traditional treatment "medicine eggs". Medicine eggs, as the name implies, are egg products soaked or boiled with medicine.
There are many diseases that can be treated with medicinal eggs, and concocted medicinal eggs are generally used to treat chronic diseases that are difficult to heal quickly, such as folk using child urine to soak eggs or duck eggs, soaking them until the shell becomes soft and then boiling them to treat asthma. It is also used to treat cancer with eggs or duck eggs soaked in walnut twigs, trichosanthemum and hippophae fruit.
In addition to soaked eggs, drugs can be used to boil or steam eggs with eggs or duck eggs, and when the eggs are cooked, the herbs are removed and only the eggs are eaten. For example, using zebrawood, wolfsbane and toadstools together with eggs or duck eggs, after boiling, remove the drugs containing severe poison such as zebrawood, wolfsbane and toadstools, and eat only the boiled eggs or duck eggs to treat cancer. This usage not only ensures the safety of medication, but also has certain curative effect. Moreover, since the eggs are taken instead of medication, it is really an ideal treatment method for patients who are afraid of suffering and cannot take medication.
The egg can be soaked or boiled with a single drug, or with a combination. Some prescriptions use walnut sticks, spotted cysts or toadstools to boil eggs, which is using a single drug. However, cancer is not well treated, and single medicine sometimes may not have the ideal effect, so it may be better to soak or boil eggs with compound medicine.
Professor Duan Fengmai, a famous Chinese medicine anti-cancer expert in China, has included this method of soaking and boiling eggs in his "Duan Fengmai Tumor Experimental Formula". For example, he included the formula of "Pronounced Curcuma and Danshin Eggs", which is a typical compound formula for making eggs, with the following formula: 90g of Trigonella, 90g of Curcuma, 120g of Danshin, 120g of Saponaria and 80ml of rice vinegar. Add water to the above 5 herbs, boil the juice and dip 7 eggs (the amount of juice should be sufficient to submerge the eggs) for 7 days (the eggshells should be soft). When serving, gently fish out with a large spoon and steam. Eat 1 egg at a time, once a day, or 2 times a day in heavy cases.
Duan Lao's recipe is certainly not the most ideal recipe for soaking anti-cancer eggs, and it is better to use different recipes for different patients so as to be more relevant. I cite this recipe of Duan Lao as an example, just to introduce the way the oldest doctors in the past soaked their eggs.
Nowadays, the Chinese medical profession has made great progress in the research of Chinese medicine against cancer, and we can develop a better formula for soaking medicinal eggs. It is worthwhile to learn from the methods of the doctors, but the anti-cancer formula must be further innovated in order to have safer and better efficacy.
This method of taking medicine is more acceptable to patients than the traditional methods of decoction and pill making, especially for asthma or cancer patients who cannot take medicine in the usual way.
